SFDR - New metrics for securities and funds APIs

Summary (What?)

We have added 2 new metrics for both the securities and funds APIs; plus 2 other new metrics only in the funds API.

TOTAL_ENERGY_CONSUMPTION_MEUR and TOTAL_ENERGY_PRODUCTION_MEUR have been added into the securities and funds APIs. These metrics are the intensity of the total energy consumed and produced respectively divided by EVIC in millions of euros. These metrics complement the PAI M5.1 and M5.2, respectively.

SOCIAL_VIOLATIONS_COUNTRIES_TOTAL_CODES and SOCIAL_VIOLATIONS_COUNTRIES_CODES have been added into the funds APIs where SOCIAL_VIOLATIONS_COUNTRIES_TOTAL_CODES provides the ISO2 code for the countries that are inside a fund and SOCIAL_VIOLATIONS_COUNTRIES_CODES provides the ISO2 code for the countries that are in the fund AND under violation of PAI M16.

Business impact (Why?)

These new metrics will enable users to get a clearer understanding on which is the absolute value of energy produced or consumed at security level and also be aware of which governments in the funds are causing under violation of PAI M16.

New Features (How?)

  1. New Metric: TOTAL_ENERGY_CONSUMPTION_MEUR, intensity of the total energy consumed divided by EVIC in millions of euros
  2. New Metric: TOTAL_ENERGY_PRODUCTION_MEUR, intensity of the total energy produced divided by EVIC in millions of euros
  3. New Metric: SOCIAL_VIOLATIONS_COUNTRIES_TOTAL_CODES, ISO2 code for the countries that are inside a fund
  4. New Metric: SOCIAL_VIOLATIONS_COUNTRIES_CODES, ISO2 code for the countries that are in the fund AND under violation of PAI M16

For consumers to get these metrics, metric names need to be explicitly passed in the payload for the securities and funds APIs for the case of TOTAL_ENERGY_CONSUMPTION_MEUR and TOTAL_ENERGY_PRODUCTION_MEUR and in the funds API for the case of SOCIAL_VIOLATIONS_COUNTRIES_TOTAL_CODES and SOCIAL_VIOLATIONS_COUNTRIES_CODES as "metricIds".
